I visited the last day of the 7th Mercosur Biennial. I loved everything! Very beautiful. It was an excellent ride.

History of Halloween

The day of Halloween began long ago with the rituals surrounding the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain.
The Celtic New Year was celebrated on November 1. The New Year was the Celtic end of harvest holiday, and the start of the dark winter. Winter was often equated with death, because of winter's harsh effect on people of the time. Because of this association, the ancient Celts believed that during the night before the New Year, the veil between the worlds of the dead and the living was thinned. Halloween is not traditional in Brazil. It seems very fun.

I'm reading the book The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne . This book is really very good, readable and enjoyable. At times a little repetitive, but only to reinforce the importance of the message. He talks about the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction is a universal law, which acts on all things, whether or not we believe. And regardless of whether or not. It's like the law of gravity. But it acts to bring us everything that we focus and attention. He says that if our energy is focused on something, that kind of energy we receive.

Movie - The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

I watched the film "The boy in the pyjamas" this weekend. I really enjoyed, but I was surprised at the end. During World War II, a German family moves from Berlin to Auschwitz, where the patriarch is ordained to work in a concentration camp. So, Bruno, a boy of 8 years old and son of the officer, begins a beautiful friendship with a Jewish boy of the same age. The film shows how prejudice, hatred and violence affect innocent people, especially children.

Global Warming

Global warming is the increase in the average temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) concludes that increasing greenhouse gas concentrations resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning and deforestation caused most of the observed temperature increase since the middle of the 20th century. The IPCC also concludes that variations in natural phenomena such as solar radiation and volcanoes produced most of the warming from pre-industrial times to 1950 and had a small cooling effect afterward.
